Event Description:
The 15th Annual Houston Firefighters’ Charity Golf Classic will be held on May 13 at Pine Forest Country Club. it is a 4-player scramble open to everyone. Shotgun start is a 9:00am. Entry fee is $150 per player and includes breakfast, lunch, golf and much more. The proceeds from this tournament go to the Houston Firefighters’ Protection Fund. This fund was created in 2006 to provide financial assistance to firefighters and their families in the event one of them is admitted into the hospital due to illness or injury. The scope of the assistance was expanded in 2017 to help firefighters that experience other emergencies like fire or natural disasters like Hurricane Harvey. This tournament is the sole source of revenue for the protection fund. No money from the city or HFD is used for this cause
