A Look Ahead For Northwest Harris County

The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce’s 9th annual Northwest Houston Works! Economic Outlook Forum is set for Friday, March 29, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This annual business forum provides an overview of Northwest Houston’s current economic landscape with insight into the area’s economic future. This year’s forum has a special focus on technology and will be held on the Southwestern Energy campus at 10000 Energy Dr. in Spring.

Opening keynote speaker, Armando Perez, Senior Group Vice President of H-E-B, will update on H-E-B’s use of technology in business and its innovative impact and application on other businesses. Patrick Jankowski, Senior Vice President of the Greater Houston Partnership, and Dr. Jim Gaines, Chief Economist of the Real Estate Center for Texas A&M University, will address the current economic outlook.

“We are very fortunate to have both Mr. Jankowski and Dr. Gaines with their vast knowledge and expertise about the Houston and Texas economy presenting for us this year” says Bobby Lieb, Vice President of Economic and Community Development for the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce.
R. Jack Cagle, Harris County Pct 4 Commissioner will be returning this year to discuss the future of Harris County.  The morning session will conclude with a segment titled “Technology’s Impact on Healthcare”, presented by Dr. Khawaja Azimuddin of Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and Dr. Alexander Mohr of CHI St. Luke’s Hospital – The Vintage.

“The Economic Outlook Forum is a great way for our community to hear first hand from industry experts on our local and national economic future” says event co-chair Christina Malm, Northland Christian School.

“This incredible event showcases our vibrant economy and encourages connections that promote further growth and development” adds event co-chair Tina Riddle, The Breeder’s Assistant.
