Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce annual Diamonds & Ice Gale theme, event details released

Northwest Houston, Spring, Klein, Champions – The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Diamonds & Ice Gala on Jan. 26, 2019 at the new Marriott CityPlace at Springwoods Village, which is scheduled to open in October.

The gala’s theme, “Red, White & Blue: A Patriotic Affair,” was chosen by the 2019 Gala Planning Committee to reflect the growth and cooperative spirit of the northwest Houston community.

“Our theme is one that we felt resonated with northwest Houston and the experiences we have recently undergone as a community,” said Sucre Woodley, director of marketing, communications and PR at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, Houston Northwest Chamber board member and co-chair of the 2019 Gala Planning Committee. “It’s a celebration of our spirit of patriotism and a way to recognize those in our community that serve others.”

Woodley and Kaci Hancock, senior marketing and communications specialist, are the co-chairs of the 2019 Gala Planning Committee, which has been hard at work organizing the theme, venue and sponsorships for the gala.

“It is truly a pleasure to work with the 2019 Diamonds & Ice Gala planning committee members whose passion and commitment to excellence are already making a difference as we prepare for the event in January,” said Hannah Beard, events and marketing manager for the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce and staff liaison for the gala.

The Diamonds & Ice Gala is the premier fundraising event of the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce. The gala promises to be a night of elegance with dancing, wine, auctions and entertainment. Some special event highlights to look forward to include a performance by the Texas Master Chorale and the Diamond Reception,  pre-gala cocktail hour with Spanish guitar music performed by Magdiel Zuniga of the Zuniga School of Music.

“We are excited to invite the community to join us at this special event and celebrate our successes as businesses, community members and a Chamber,” said Woodley.

Members of the 2019 Gala Planning Committee include: David Chandler, executive director for Wood Glen Court Assisted Living; Kim Giannetti, general manager for Community Impact Newspaper – Spring Klein Edition; Samantha Gonzalez, fundraising manager of Northwest Assistance Ministries; Kimberly Herrera, project manager and interim director of Fallbrook Church; Kelly Hodges, community relations director for Avanti Senior Living; Dr. Deshonta Holmes, special assistant to the president at Lone Star College – University Park; Tovi Liebovitz, regional event specialist for Qtego Auction Technology; Diane Palmer, president of DP Marketing Strategies; Sarah Qualls, business development specialist for Houston Methodist Willowbrook; Melissa Rotholz, associate director of Shield Bearer Counseling Centers; and Michael Willis, president of 18|8 Fine Men’s Salons.
